Solar activity and geomagnetic conditions
Daily space weather updates, solar activity and geomagnetic activity from the astronomical project SPONLI or SPACE ONLINE.

The influence of Sun on all flesh on the Earth is scale and comprehensive. Light and heat (visible and infrared radiation, respectively) – are not all that our Heavenly body exudes. Solar wind also penetrates in atmosphere of our Planet; this is a high-speed stream of charged particles ejected from the solar corona. Indignations of the Earth’s magnetosphere and magnetic storms are exactly connected with a solar wind.
Everybody knows the famous phrase “Forewarned is forearmed” which is very much approached to the forecasts of geomagnetic storms. Than storms are dangerous to the person? Scientists claim that storms have essential impact on an emotional and mental condition of people and on organism work as a whole. Some people begin to react on magnetic storms in 1-2 days before it, in other words, in time of Sun’s flash they actually react on solar storms. Some feels discomfort and indisposition at the peak of geomagnetic activity. For others any magnetic indignations are not noticeable. Finally, all are very individual. Also there is some opinion that geomagnetic activity has impact only on flora and planet fauna.
In itself solar activity represents the set of the phenomena and the processes connected with education and disintegration in the Sun’s atmosphere magnetic fields.
First of all it is such phenomena, as sunspots, coronal mass ejections, solar flares, coronal holes and the solar wind, carrying the substance from the solar corona. And all will be good, but the solar activity causes indignations in the Earth’s magnetosphere. As usual after the next solar storm in two-three days should be expected disturbances on Earth. The influence on the living organisms of solar activity and disturbances caused by this activity in the Earth’s magnitosphere are studies by science named heliobiology (al-Greek Ἥλιος. Sun + biology).
The SPONLI project seeks to contribute to heliobiology development: we are convinced that in the near future, an overview of space weather will become familiar to us as weather forecasts on the planet. So, you can find the daily overview of space weather and solar activity, solar events of the last 24 hours, the forecast of geomagnetic activity – disturbances of the magnetic field of the Earth, the solar wind and related with it future magnetic storms, comments and online Sun’s photos from the SPONLI project (SPACE ONLINE) on our site. We glean and analyze the data from several authoritative observatories of the world: Royal Observatory of Belgium, Big Bear Solar Observatory (USA), in addition, we use NASA’s data and info from TESIS space observatory (Russia).
We provide an opportunity to track movement of sunspots, solar filaments, flocculation (chromospheric flares), the formation of prominences, flares, and coronal holes. Besides, you will find the interesting facts about the Heavenly body, about its structure and current state. All information on website is written in non-technical style, these are descriptions of various astrophysical phenomena, classification, magnetic storms, the level of disturbance of the Earth’s magnetosphere (according to K and Kp index), the speed of the solar wind and other interesting information for people who are not professional astronomer.
With SPONLI Space is getting closer!
